Terms in Reservation, Deposit and Payment:
- To make a tour reservation, please submit the following 3 items to our office:
1) a deposit of $200 per person, non-refundable;
2) a completed reservation form (will e-mail you upon request);
3) a clear photocopy of each passenger's passport.
- The balance of full payment is due 60 days prior to departure. Final payments not received by the due date will be subject to cancellation and your deposit will be forfeited. In the event that a reservation is made less than 60 days before the trip, full payment must be paid immediately;
- The tour prices listed are on a cash basis; payments are acceptable in personal check, money order or bank draft. An extra service fee applies if paid by PayPal or Credit Cards (a complete Authorization Form is required for CC payments);
- All of your payments are deposited into our Client Trust Account supervised by TICO.
- The tour fare is quoted in CAD Funds per person based on double occupancy;
- Triple occupants pay the same rate as double occupants;
- Single occupants pay an additional single supplement fee on top of the tour fare as quoted.
Cancellation, Penalty and Refund Policy:
- Once reservation confirmed, the deposit paid is 100% non-refundable. A total refund of your full payment minus non-refundable deposit per person will be issued for your cancellation 60 days prior to departure. All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Penalty for cancellations within 60 days of departure will be assessed as follows:
59-42 days....................... 25% of the tour rate
41-22 days....................... 50% of the tour rate
21 days or less................ 100% of the tour rate
- If the cancelation is made by CVT for any unexpected reasons, the refund of your full payment shall constitute the final settlement: CVT shall not bear the loss that might incur from penalty of airlines, hotels and or other facilities and bookings.
- Once air tickets issued, they are 100% non-refundable.
Transfer of Tour-booking or Change of Departure Date:
Transfer of a tour-booking to another person might be accepted, provided the air tickets have not been issued. Change of departure date is not permitted once a tour is confirmed or finalized.
Clients must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after date of departure from Canada and must have a valid visa to China. For detailed information about Chinese visa application please refer to Chinese Visa at www.chinavisittour.com
During the tour in China, each client is limited to one piece of checked luggage, which—according to the Chinese air carriers—must weigh no more than 20kg (44 lbs). One carry-on weighing no more than 5kg is allowed. The client must be able to lift and comfortably transport their own luggage short distances as porter service may not be available at all hotels, airports, train stations, cruise and ferry terminals. Clients should take into account all travel risks and familiarize themselves with health requirements. Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that he/she is fit to travel the area. CVT is unable to accommodate participants with physical or mental disabilities who require special attention. Our tours involve frequent, strenuous walking and stair climbing. A high level of fitness is required of all clients. CVT reserves the right to exclude participants who are physically or mentally ill before departure or during the tour. A client who is deemed to be unreasonably impeding the progress of the tour due to physical disability will be removed from the tour at the client's expense.
CVT strongly recommends that all tour participants purchase trip cancellation & interruption, hospital and medical, and baggage insurance to protect their travel plans. For details please refer to Travel Insurance at www.chinavisittour.com
CVT strives in good faith to make the itinerary carried out precisely as specified. However, if it becomes necessary for the hotels, vessels and air carriers or any other services to be changed or substituted; in case the tour itinerary has to be prolonged through circumstances beyond the control of CVT and local handling travel operators, the passenger is held responsible for all additional tour costs, which must be paid immediately.
Regardless of any reasons, unused services during the tour including transportation, hotel accommodation, meals and sightseeing are neither refundable nor exchangeable.
Clients' Responsible Behavior:
Clients must agree to abide by the authority of the tour leader or our local agents. Conduct or behavior causing danger, distress or annoyance to the group will be acted upon. Any expenses incurred as a result of the client's removal will be the client's responsibility.
Clients must be aware that there may be different living standards and practices outside of their home country including but not limited to provision of utilities such as water, electricity, accommodations, food preparations and services of all kinds. Under no circumstances shall CVT be responsible for any inconvenience, loss, damage or injury resulting from these conditions.
Responsibility of CVT:
CVT only acts as agent for the airlines, cruise lines, railways, hotels, ground operators or travel suppliers and contractors or any third party who provide transportations, accommodations, facilities, tour arrangement and related services directly to travelers; CVT shall assume no responsibility or liability for any irregularity of service, delay, accident, or harm, injury, death to persons, or damage, loss to properties, or impact, postpone, change, alternation, substitution, re-schedule, cancelation, abortion to tour itineraries, resulting directly or indirectly from climatic conditions, machinery or equipment breakdown, facility failure of any means, governmental actions, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, criminal behavior, discrepancies, errors or any other eventualities, natural calamities and man-made misfortunes, omissions, force majeure beyond CVT's control. The passenger contract issued together with the air ticket by the air carrier shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the passenger, CVT shall not be responsible for any delays, substitutions of equipment or any act of omission whatsoever by the carrier, its agent, servants and employees.
CVT will take no responsibility for any loss, injury, accident or damage to persons and/or property resulting from all the activities as per itinerary including rafting, rock climbing, ropes courses (zip lining), cycling, panda volunteering, snorkeling and swimming, etc. It is participants’ own knowledge that the sea water could be contaminated due to nuclear leakage or other harmful sources that could be hazardous for health and take their own responsibility for any possible risks and harm. CVT will not take guardian responsibility for students.
Right of CVT:
CVT reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour at any time, and to re-schedule the itinerary whenever CVT deems it necessary for the comfort, convenience or safety of the group; or to cancel a tour at any time prior to departure due to any necessary reasons. The local travel operators reserve the right to make reasonable adjustment for the tour when confronted with a situation beyond our control. CVT reserves the right to withdraw an announced tour or switch a departure, or substitute hotels, transportation carriers or cruises, or make alterations in the itineraries when necessary. All tour itineraries and prices are subject to change without notice. CVT reserves the right to take photographs or video shots of participants during any tour or part thereof, and to use the resulting photographs or video shots for promotional purposes. CVT reserves the right to cancel any departure when the group size is less 10 people.
Complaint & Claim:
Any complaint must be brought to the attention of the tour leader or local guide immediately while on the tour. Any claim against CVT must be filed in writing and be received by CVT within 30 days upon completion of the tour.
