11-day Culture and Fun with Panda Care Tour for March Break

City: Beijing-Xi'an-Chengdu/Ya’an/Bifengxia-Shanghai

Day 1: Depart Canada

Take transpacific flight to Beijing.

Day 2: Arrive Beijing (D)
Upon arrival in late afternoon, meet our professional English speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel by private air conditioning tour bus. Orientation.

Day 3: Beijing (BLD)

Today we visit the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City to see the 250-acre complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards and gardens. Afterwards, we tour the Summer Palace – a royal resort during the Qing Dynasty. Peking Duck dinner is arranged to round off your first day of the sightseeing.

Day 4: Beijing (BLD)

Morning- visit to the Temple of Heaven , join-in local people doing Tai Chi and morning exercises. Afternoon, we have inter-active activities in a Children’s Palace to learn Mandarin; cultural exchange programs, calligraphy, and Chinese chase. 
Karaoke Club in the evening.

Day 5: Beijing-Xi'an (BLD)

We drive 70km northwest of the city for a full-day excursion to the Great Wall, the world's longest man-made structure, stretching over 6,352 km (3,948 miles) from Shanhai Pass in the east to Lop Nur in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. Then, we visit the 2008 Olympic Games Site: Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. Take overnight train to Xi’an.

Day 6: Xi'an (BLD)

Arrive in the morning. Today we visit the excavation site of the Terracotta Army, located 30km east of the city. Learn to make your own terracotta figure. Cycling on City Fortress Wall in the afternoon. Noodle Making Class.

Day 7: Xi'an (BLD)

Day excursion by about 1 hour drive to the Donghan Village, famed of its Rural Painting, in Huxian County to learn their unique style painting, paper-cutting, and dumpling-making in local farmer’s house. Taste local family-made food. Have fun with local kids in the evening activity. Drive back to Xi’an.

Day 8: Xi'an–Chengdu (BLD)
Morning visit old street for Souvenir hunting. Flight to Chengdu, travel to Ya’an by coach and check in hotel. Swim in hotel facility.
