Terms and Conditions
Your contract with China Visit Tour Inc. (known as CVT hereafter) is subject to the Terms & Conditions as below.
Reservation, Deposit and Payment
Tour Rate* Includes
* Tour rate is quoted in CAD per person, based on double occupancy;
Triple occupants pay the same rate as double occupants;
Single occupants pay an additional single supplement fee on top of the tour fare.
Tour Rate Excludes
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Once reservation is confirmed, deposit paid is 100% non-refundable. A full refund less deposit per person will be issued for cancellation 60 days prior departure. All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Penalty for cancellations within 60 days before departure will be assessed as follows:
59-42 days....................... 25% of the tour rate
41-28 days....................... 50% of the tour rate
27 days or less................ 100% of the tour rate
Transfer of Tour-booking or Change of Departure Date:
Transfer of booking to another person may be accepted, provided the air tickets have not been issued. Change of departure date is not permitted after confirmation of tour.
Travel Document
Clients must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after date of departure from Canada and must have a valid visa to China.
Baggage
During the tour in China each client is limited to one piece of checked luggage, which according to the Chinese air carriers must weigh no more than 20kg (44 lbs). One carry-on weighing no more than 5kg is allowed. The client must be able to lift and comfortably transport their own luggage short distances as porter service may not be available at all hotels, airports, train stations, cruise and ferry terminals.
Health Condition
Clients should take into account all travel risks and familiarize themselves with health requirements. Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that he/she is fit to travel the area. CVT is unable to accommodate participants with physical or mental disability who require special attention. Our tours involve frequent and strenuous walking and stair climbing. A high level of fitness is required of all clients. CVT reserves the right to exclude participants who are physically or mentally ill before departure or during the tour. A client who is deemed unreasonably impeding the progress of the tour due to physical disability will be removed from the tour at the client's expense.
Travel Insurance
CVT strongly recommends that all tour participants purchase trip cancellation & interruption, hospital and medical, and baggage insurance to protect their travel plans. Details please refer to Insurance at www.chinavisittour.com
Itinerary Specified
CVT endeavors to follow the itinerary precisely. However, if it becomes necessary for the means of transportation or any other services to be changed, or for the tour to be prolonged through circumstances beyond the control of the Chinese handling travel agencies, the passenger is held responsible for all additional tour costs, which must be paid immediately.
Unused services
Regardless of the reason, unused services during the tour including transportation, hotel accommodation, meals and sightseeing are neither refundable nor exchangeable.
Clients' Responsible behavior
Clients agree to abide by the authority of the tour leader or our local agents. Conduct or behavior causing danger, distress or annoyance to the group will be acted on. Any expenses incurred as a result of the client's removal will be the client's responsibility.
Clients' Awareness
Clients must be aware that there may be different living standards and practices outside of their home country including but not limited to provision of utilities such as water, electricity, accommodation, food preparations and services of all kinds. Under no circumstances shall CVT be responsible for any inconvenience, loss, damage or injury resulting from these conditions.
Responsibility and Right of CVT
CVT acts only as an agent for the airlines, cruise lines, hotels, ground operators and suppliers of the travel and accommodation provided to tour members and has issued tickets and made arrangements as an agent upon the express conditions that CVT shall assume no liability for any loss, injury, accident, delay, or damage to person and/or property in connection with climatic conditions, sea fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond CVT's control performance or irregularity which may be occasioned for any reason by the suppliers or other companies engaged in conveying or accommodating tour members. The passenger contract issued together with the air ticket by the air carrier shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the passenger; the Company shall not be responsible for any delays, substitutions of equipment or any act of omission whatsoever by the carrier, its agent, servants and employees.
CVT reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any tour or part thereof, and to use the resulting photographs for promotional purposes.
CVT reserves the right to accept or decline any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour at any time, to make changes in the itinerary whenever CVT deems it necessary for the comfort, convenience or safety of the tour participants, or to cancel a tour at any time prior to departure. All arrangements are arranged by local travel agencies in the related countries who reserve the right to change or readjust the tour schedule when necessary. Such actions are beyond the control of CVT. Due to earlier production of the brochure, CVT reserves the right to withdraw an announced tour, substitute hotels, transportation carriers or cruises and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be necessary or desirable for the proper carrying out of the tour. All tour itineraries and prices are subject to change without notice.
Complaint & Claim
Any complaint must be brought to the attention of the tour leader or local guide immediately while on the tour. Any claim against CVT must be filed in writing and be received by CVT within 30 days upon completion of the tour.
Reservation with CVT confirms that the clients have read, understood and agreed to the above Terms & Conditions.
