Visa Guidance:

 

Travellers might be required to have a valid visa to enter the destination countries, depending on varous visa requirements from different countries. Please refer to: travel.gc.ca/travelling/documents/visas for detailed information about visa requirement. You must hold a valid passport for visa application.

 

Travelling to China:

Canadian and US passport holders traveling to China are required to have a valid visa prior to entering the country. The Chinese Visa Appication Service Center announced a long-term visa to China started to issue for tourists from April 9th, 2015. The visa length will be along with your passport validity or less.

Basic notes:

1. The valid passport must have at least six months of remaining validity with enough blank visa pages;

2. One typewritten complete Visa Application Form signed by the applicant;

3. One recent standard passport photo. Please check with your professional photographer for standard type;

4. After the applicant enters China, if his/her actual length of stay is longer than the visa given, he/she must apply for extension of stay at the local public security bureau before his/her visa expires. The applicant will be fined or subjected to other penalties if he/she stays beyond the specified date.
